The very first time I set foot in Universal Studios, I was absolutely floored. The sets, the effects, the sense of stepping into an entirely new universe—it felt like genuine time travel. And I remember thinking, “This is incredible—why not share it with everyone?”

That spark stuck with me through my days at Carnegie Mellon University Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). I was lucky enough to meet a group of amazing people there who were just as pumped about making these mind-bending experiences real. Together, we dreamed up all sorts of wild experiments: museum heists powered by projection and Vive trackers, Dark Rides using CAVE systems plus motion floors, and even a mixed reality escape room that ditched clunky controllers so anyone—kids, grandparents, first-time gamers—could instantly dive in. Nothing beats seeing people gasp and giggle as they realize they’ve stepped out of the everyday and into something extraordinary.

But campus can only take you so far. After graduation, I wanted to bring these larger-than-life ideas to the world. That’s when my team partnered with established industry pros—like LeDu Exhibition in China—so we could introduce Western clients to cutting-edge (and super affordable) entertainment tech. We set up a Showroom to showcase different immersive formats, budgets, and possibilities. Now, instead of guessing how to make that “whoa” factor happen, creators can see it firsthand.

I truly believe immersive entertainment is just hitting its stride. Even something as simple as standing in line for Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind—where walls shift around you—turns a waiting area into a mini-adventure. Or opening an AR doorway at home that transports you to an entirely different realm. Each new project pushes the boundary between reality and fantasy in ways we never thought possible.

And that’s the heart of “Jump into the Fusion Realm”: an invitation to leave your comfort zone and embrace mind-blowing experiences. My friends from ETC and I are stoked to work with partners around the globe, build jaw-dropping attractions, and spark that wide-eyed wonder all over again.
